Privacy Policy
What this website collects, where it goes, and what I do not do with it. Written to describe this site specifically rather than copied from a template.
The Short Version
If you fill in a form on this site, I get your name, your email, your phone number and whatever you typed in the message box. That information goes into the system I use to keep track of who I am talking to, and I use it to talk to you. I do not sell it, rent it or trade it to anybody.
That is genuinely the whole thing. The rest of this page is the detail, in case you want it.
Effective October 1, 2026.
What I Collect, and Only When You Give It
There are two forms on this site: the contact form, and the form that sends you one of the free guides. Both ask for the same things.
- First name, and last name if you give it
- Email address
- Phone number, if you give it
- Whatever you choose to write in the message box
Nothing is collected from you unless you type it in and submit it. There is no account to create and no login.
Where It Goes
Form submissions go into the customer relationship system I use to run my business, which is a service called GoHighLevel. They hold it on my behalf and I am the one who decides what happens to it.
From there I use it for exactly one thing: being in touch with you about buying or selling a home. A reply to your question. The guide you asked for. Occasional market information if you asked to hear from me.
I do not sell your information. I do not rent it. I do not trade it with other agents, lenders, title companies or anybody else. If a situation ever came up where sharing something was necessary to actually do the work you asked me to do, for example passing your details to a lender you asked me to introduce you to, I would ask you first.
What This Site Tracks, Which Is Less Than You Expect
This site does not currently run an advertising pixel, Google Analytics, or any session-recording tool. No Meta pixel, no Google tag, no heatmap software. If I add any of those, I will update this page before they go live and change the date at the top.
What the site does keep is small. If you arrive from a link with campaign tags on it, the site remembers which campaign brought you, so that if you later fill in a form I can tell which ad or post was worth running. It keeps the name of the website you came from, for example that you came from Facebook, and never the full web address, because a full address can carry a search you typed or a page about you. That information sits in your own browser for the length of your visit and is gone when you close the tab.
None of that identifies you. It describes a visit, not a person, and it is not linked to you across other websites.
One exception worth naming. The American Dream TV page embeds videos from YouTube. Those players come from Google rather than from me, and watching one means Google sees that. I use the no-cookie version of the player and it does not load at all until you scroll down to it, so nothing reaches Google if you never go to that page. If you would rather not, the same episodes are on my channel and you can watch them there instead.
The Chat Assistant
The assistant on this site is artificial intelligence, not a person and not me. It answers questions about my services using the content of these pages. When you type a question into it, your message is sent to Anthropic, the company whose software powers it, so that an answer can come back.
What it tells you is general information only. It is not legal, financial, tax or professional advice, it can be wrong or out of date, and nothing it says is a commitment from me. Check anything that matters with me directly before you act on it.
Do not type anything sensitive into it. No social security number, no bank or card details, no health information. Treat it the way you would treat a public comment. If you want to tell me something private, use the contact form or call me on (406) 606-9551.
Its answers are not reviewed for fair housing compliance, so do not read anything it says as a statement about who may live somewhere, what is available, or who qualifies. Those questions come to me.
You never have to use it. If you would rather talk to a person, that person is me, on (406) 606-9551 or at Courtney@CourtneyFoster.com.
Email and Text Messages
If you give me your email address I may email you. If you give me your phone number I may call or text you about what you asked about.
Every marketing email I send has an unsubscribe link in it and it works. To stop texts, reply STOP to any message from me. You can also just tell me, in any form, and I will stop. Asking me to stop contacting you entirely is a normal request and it is never awkward.
I am the one responsible for how I contact you, not my brokerage and not any software I use to do it.
How Long I Keep It, and How to Have It Removed
I keep client and inquiry records for as long as I am working with you and afterwards, because a real estate relationship does not end at closing and because records relating to a transaction have to be kept. Montana and my brokerage both have requirements about transaction records, and those are the ones I follow.
If you were never a client and you want your information deleted, email me at Courtney@CourtneyFoster.com and ask. I will do it and I will confirm when it is done. You can also ask me what I hold about you and I will tell you.
Children
This site is for adults buying and selling homes. I do not knowingly collect information from anybody under 18. If you believe a child has submitted something through this site, email me and I will remove it.
Links to Other Sites
Some pages link out to other websites, including Google Maps and my reviews. Once you are on somebody else's site you are under their privacy policy rather than this one. I have no control over what they collect.
Changes, and How to Reach Me About Any of This
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. I will not quietly alter what I do with your information and leave the page as it was.
Questions about any of the above go to Courtney@CourtneyFoster.com, or (406) 606-9551, or 5 W Mendenhall St, Bozeman, MT 59715.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will you sell or share my information?
No. Not sold, not rented, not traded. The only time anything would be passed on is if you asked me to introduce you to somebody such as a lender, and I would ask you before doing it.
What happens if I fill in a form and then change my mind?
Email Courtney@CourtneyFoster.com and ask me to delete it. I will, and I will confirm when it is done. You do not need a reason.
Does this website track me?
Not in the way most sites do. There is no advertising pixel, no Google Analytics and no session recording on this site today. It keeps the name of the site you arrived from and any campaign tag on the link, in your own browser, for the length of your visit.
Is the chat assistant private?
Your question is sent to Anthropic, whose software answers it from the content of these pages. Treat it like a public comment and do not type anything sensitive into it. Use the contact form or call me for anything private.
